“Impact Unveiled: Beyond the Silence” is the Chinook Sexual Assault Centre Art Show that will be hosted at the Yates Theatre Art Gallery through May 2025 in observance of Sexual Violence Awareness Month. Our goal is to create a space where those impacted by sexual violence feel seen, heard, and supported, as well as curate art that will encourage important conversations. While the focus of this project is to support individuals impacted by sexualized violence, submissions do not need to directly address this topic.

Designed for childcare workers, teachers, or anyone who works with individuals under 18, this session held by Zoom, will explore topics including your rights as someone affected by a crime, the reporting process, types of charges, protection orders, and an overview of key legal forms like victim impact statements. You’ll also learn how we can provide specialized support through police and court navigation.  Click Here to participate

RunWild is an annual running event led by Leading Edge Physiotherapy to raise money for Child Advocacy Centres, including our own Chinook Child and Youth Advocacy Centre. There are multiple distance options including the WildOnes 1.2 km Marafun run, 5K, 10K, and Hal Marathon, meaning that individuals of all ages and of all fitness levels can participate! Taking place on the weekend of May 3rd-4th, this is a great way to support our centre and have some fun with your family while you’re at it.

We are so excited to once again be participating in Rogers Birdies for Kids (BFK) presented by AltaLink! When you donate to our organization through BFK, we receive 100% of donations, which will go directly to supporting the programming of the Chinook Child and Youth Advocacy Centre. All donations through BFK will be matched up to 50%, so your generous donation has the capacity to impact even more lives.
