Sexual Violence Awareness Month

Sexual Violence Awareness Month (SVAM) is a time to raise awareness about sexual violence, support those impacted, and advocate for change. This is an important time for the Chinook Sexual Assault Centre and each year we organize a number of events, activities and initiatives to help promote our mission of ending sexual violence in southwestern Alberta. Watch this space for additional details on this year's Sexual Violence Awareness Month activities. This year our celebrations will feature:

  • Go Teal Lethbridge - Lights at Lethbridge City Hall will turn teal, the colour which represents sexual violence prevention
  • We are hosting the Believe and Transform Conference on May 15 - a  community conversation to address exploitation. Register here.
  • Local artists Cass Mitchell and Andrew Page have created two amazing designs featured on a variety of apparel. A portion of all proceeds go towards the Chinook Sexual Assault Centre. Click here to get yours.
  • You could win up to $10,000 in our Cash for Change raffle. Get your tickets by clicking here.
  • More to come.
